And the winners are...
In2schools was established in order to promote outreach work available to teachers on the school premises that can enrich the curriculum and provide real life experiences for pupils. In line with this principle, a competition was set up to design the logo for the website, providing students with the opportunity to follow a real design brief for a real business.
The competition was set between 3 high schools. The winners are Julia Marques Pike and Thomas Thompson (in year 11 now) from Corby Business academy. Their teacher, Mr. Arnold, Director of Business and Enterprise, said, “the competition gave the students an opportunity to develop their enterprise skills, in terms of working through the creative process, reflecting on the work they produced, and working in teams. It’s fantastic that the students have been able to see their work being used in a real business environment. Julia and Thomas worked very hard on the project and have excelled themselves.”
Vicky Kakos, the Director at in2schools, is thrilled with the logo, “I think it is eye catching and immediately puts education in your mind. Having pupils design the logo was really important to me as a teacher, I know how capable pupils are and believe they need as many opportunities as they can to show how hard they can work and talented and skilled they can be.”
