Once Upon a Time...

Once upon a time there was.... a school filled with children captivated by a story!

There are many good reasons to get excited about stories and here are a few good excuses to invite a storyteller or author into your classroom:

  • National Storytelling Week 26th Jan - 2nd Feb
  • World Storytelling Day 20th March 2012
  • April Birthdays - 2nd Hans Christian Anderson 26th William Shakespeare
  • May is Share a Story Month

Why not invite a magical storyteller or acclaimed children's author to bring stories to life in your school?

As Tom the Tale Teller says, "a well read story from a book is one thing but to see a storyteller weave their magic, pluck the story out of the air and produce a patch work of story which grows inside your head is a totally magical, unforgettable experience. Storytelling is the oldest art form known to man so why not invite me into your school and watch the children get lost in the magical land of story and see their writing, reading and listening skills grow."

storytellingA weaver of dreams to ignite the imagination. Stories from around the world or around the corner, of times long ago or just the other day, stories well known or never heard before, these are what lie in store when Tom the Tale Teller comes through your door.
